I know it’s only cellophane

Which I loathe

Like lifting toilet seats

But it’s a warm wrap

That clings and smothers

With cackles pure and real

The stomach of the soul

Is a sucker for sick sing-song scenes

But oh, Daughter

I do love the banter

It will carry us through

And wrap our knuckles

With irreverence

In the best way
